Since its introduction, Telpotripeptide has received significant clinical application approvals in multiple countries. In May 2022, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) first approved it for improving glycemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes.

Subsequently, in November 2023, the FDA further approved it for the treatment of overweight or obese adults.

Following international lead, my country's National Medical Products Administration approved Telpotripeptide for marketing in China in May 2024 for glycemic management in adult patients with type 2 diabetes.

Just two months later, in July 2024, the drug received further approval for improving long-term weight management in obese adults or overweight patients with at least one weight-related comorbidity. On January 2, 2025, Telpotripeptide (Mofonda®) was officially launched in China.
